If I test positive for an STD, what are my next steps?

Contact a health professional to discuss any positive results as soon as possible. Additional testing is required for confirmation and disease evaluation for several of the STDs tested, while others (e.g. chlamydia and gonorrhea) are simply and effectively treated with prescription antibiotics. 

Ensure that any current and recent sexual partners are aware of your diagnosis so they can also request testing.
